FoxCueWrite a Video Script from Help Docs with AI
Create a FoxCue script four ways: generate with AI from a brief and your sources, paste a script, import a .md or .txt file, or start blank and write it.
To write a video script in FoxCue, go to Create → Content and click New content. Then choose Generate with AI (from a topic, your facts and your sources), Paste a script, Import a file or Start blank.
AI scripts use your approved brand kit and the most relevant passages from your sources, and cite them.
Choose how to start

| Paste a script | You already wrote it. It saves on its own and goes straight to slides and video. |
| Import a file | Bring a script from Docs, Notion or a text file (.md or .txt, up to 2 MB). FoxCue finds the sections and shows them before anything is created. |
| Start blank | Start with a title and write it yourself. |
Generate a script from your docs
Open the Brief
Choose Generate with AI. The Script Brief opens: set the purpose, then choose the facts and sources the script should use.
Enter a Topic or Goal
For example, How to schedule a recurring job. Keep instructions about the goal here.
Add facts (optional)
Under Facts, Notes or Pasted Source Text, paste key points or source text. This is optional when your product context or selected sources already provide usable facts.
Choose Product Context
Pick a product to use its knowledge, sources and writing presets, or choose No Product Context to work only from your brief.
Check the evidence
Under Knowledge, relevant public passages are retrieved automatically. Pin specific sources only when they must be included. Internal and removed sources are excluded. Context for This Generation shows what the AI will use.
Set style, format and pitch
- Brand mention: choose an Offering to pitch and a Call to Action, or None — pure answer, no brand. With no pitch, the script answers the question thoroughly and mentions the offering only where it genuinely helps.
- Style & format: Style Preset, Format, Target Length and Tone.
- Writing Skill: Standard writing method by default, or a writing skill.
- Labels & filing: labels and collections.

Click Generate Script. See AI script generation and cost limits.
Import a script you already wrote
- Choose Import a file, then drop a
.mdor.txtfile (up to 2 MB) or paste the text under Or paste the script. - Click Find the Sections. FoxCue shows the sections it found, plus anything Kept for reference (such as Who it's for, Takeaway and title ideas).
- Give it a Title and create the script.
Troubleshooting
- "Add a specific topic or goal before generating." Fill in Topic or Goal.
- "Add factual notes or public-safe Sources with usable content." FoxCue found nothing to cite. Add facts, or add a public source.
- "Remove internal, removed or unavailable knowledge selections before generating." Click Remove Excluded Selections.
- "That file type won't open here." Use
.mdor.txt, or paste the text.
