Edit Scripts: AI Rewrite and Version History
Edit or read your script, generate titles and hooks, shorten, lengthen or re-tone it with AI, save snapshots, and compare versions in FoxCue Script history.
The FoxCue script editor is where you refine a script before recording or turning it into a video. It has Edit and Read modes, AI rewrite tools, recording cues and a full Script History you can compare.
Edit and read
- Edit mode is a Markdown editor with a formatting toolbar.
- Read mode shows the script the way you'll say it.
- Save keeps your changes. FoxCue warns you about unsaved changes when you close (Keep Editing, Discard & Close or Save & Close).
AI rewrite and generate tools
Open Rewrite & Generate:
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Titles | Generate title options (choose one under Pick a title) |
| Hooks | Opening hook options (Pick a hook) |
| Shorten | Tighten the script |
| Lengthen | Expand it with more detail |
| Re-tone | Rewrite it in the chosen tone |
Script history and versions
Save the script once to start tracking versions. After that:
- Every AI generation is kept with its exact prompt, settings and tokens.
- Save a manual snapshot of the current draft and settings at any time.
- Tick two versions to compare them side by side.
- Load an older version to keep working from it.
Answer brief
If the script came from approved tracking targets in a silo, an Inherited answer brief lists the questions it should answer. Phrase hints only show wording matches. Review whether each question is answered clearly and every claim has source support.
Create from this script
The Create panel links the script to its deliverables. Everything you finish also appears in Outputs:
- Record This Script: open the camera, screen recorder and teleprompter. See Studio recorder.
- Storyboard, Slides, Video, Article and Narrate Slides. See Slides, articles and storyboards.
