Add Captions, Intro, Outro and a 9:16 Cut

Finalize a FoxCue recording: add intro, sponsor and outro clips, a watermark and music, burn in captions or export SRT/VTT, and also export a vertical 9:16 cut.

After you save a script recording, Finalize Video turns the raw take into a finished video. You can add an intro, a sponsor spot, an outro, a watermark and background music, add captions, and export a vertical 9:16 version too. Finished videos appear in Outputs.

Open the assemble panel

After Stop & Save, the recorder shows Recording saved. For a script recording, click Assemble Video, or Add sponsor / intro / outro if the script has a brand.

Finalize your video

Add brand clips (brand scripts only)

Pick from your Brand Assets:

OptionSettings
IntroA clip that plays before your take
SponsorA mid-roll clip. Set Drop in at (seconds into your take).
OutroA clip that plays after your take
WatermarkPosition: Bottom right (default), Bottom left, Top right or Top left
MusicA background track. Music Volume from −60 to 0 dB (default −24 dB).

Choose captions

Under Captions: Off, Burn Into Video (captions drawn into the picture), or Download SRT / VTT files (separate caption files for YouTube or other players).

Add a vertical version (optional)

Turn on Also export in 9:16: a vertical crop of the full video, with no excerpt selection. For a short highlight reel instead, use Make a Short.

Finalize

Click Save to keep the settings, then Finalize Video. Click View Progress to follow the build. When it's done, you'll see Video ready, or Video saved with warnings if an optional output (captions or the 9:16 export) didn't finish.

Download or share

Click Download or Share. See Share a video.

To change something, adjust the settings and click Finalize Again (or Re-finalize).

Captions and Also export in 9:16 are always available when you assemble a script recording, with or without a brand. Intro, outro, sponsor, watermark, music and Manage Assets appear only when the script has a brand. Recordings without a script don't show the assemble button.

What you'll see

MessageMeaning
Video readyThe master and all requested outputs are saved
Video saved with warnings / Partial exportThe master saved, but captions or the Shorts export weren't completed. Review it before using it.
Render completed with warningsThe renderer flagged visual quality issues. Review the video.

Troubleshooting

  • Intro, outro and sponsor options are missing. These need a brand on the script and assets uploaded under Brand Assets.
  • Captions weren't completed. Captions depend on transcription. Click Finalize Again. If it keeps failing, export without captions and try again later.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add captions to my video?

In the assemble panel, choose Burn Into Video for always-on captions, or Download SRT / VTT files to upload captions to YouTube separately.

How do I make a 9:16 version for Shorts or Reels?

Turn on Also export in 9:16 for a vertical crop of the full video. For a 30–50 second highlight reel, use Make a Short.

Does finalizing change my original take?

No. The take is kept. Each finalize builds a new finished video from it.
