FoxCuePen, Arrow and Spotlight While Recording
Annotate your recording live in FoxCue with pen, arrow, box, highlight, spotlight, text and cursor markers. Choose colors and size, or let strokes auto-fade.
Markers let you draw on your recording while you talk: circle a button, point with an arrow, or spotlight one area. Pick a tool from the marker rail on the left side of the studio recorder. Markers are baked into the recording.
Marker tools

Color and size
Open the color/size popover:
- Colors: Yellow
#f5ff00(default), Green, Pink, Cyan, Orange, Red, White. - Size: 2–40 (default 10).
- Ephemeral (auto-fade): off by default. When on, each stroke holds for 3 seconds, then fades out over 0.7 seconds.
Undo and clear
- Undo last marker removes the most recent one.
- Clear all markers removes everything on screen.
Tips
- Turn on Ephemeral for quick pointing, so you don't have to clear by hand.
- Use Spotlight on busy screens to focus attention.
- A
[spotlight]cue in your script turns on the spotlight tool with one tap.
Frequently asked questions
Can I remove markers after recording?
No. Markers are recorded into the video. Use Undo last marker or Clear all markers during the take.
Does the slide recorder have markers?
Yes. It has Cursor, Pen, Highlighter, Arrow, Spotlight, Magnifier and Eraser. See Slide recorder.
