Plan Which Docs to Turn into Videos with Silos

Silos group a brand's pages, topics and videos by industry, workflow or audience, so you can pick which docs become videos and track production in FoxCue.

A silo in FoxCue is a content plan for one slice of your market, such as an industry, a workflow or an audience role. It groups the brand's pages, topics and videos so you can choose which docs to turn into videos and follow each one from idea to published.

Open Strategy → Silos and click New Silo.

Create a silo

Start with a brand

Silos belong to a brand. If you don't have one, go to Brands & Products first.

Click New Silo

In Strategy → Silos, click New Silo, choose the Brand and give it a Name.

Set the Silo Scope

Open Silo Actions → Silo Scope and combine Industries, Workflows and Audience roles from your brand's shared dimensions. For example, one silo can cover HVAC and Front office together. Turn on Include child workflows when matching this scope if you want sub-workflows included. Click Add Dimension to add a new industry, workflow or role.

Link pages

On the Pages tab, link your brand's website or docs pages. Their keywords and search queries become the raw material for video ideas.

You can also create silos in bulk from Understand Your Business in Context by listing up to 12 industries or markets.

Topics

A topic is one customer question. Open a topic to see:

  • Target Questions: the searches or prompts it should answer, with Platform (YouTube, Google or AI search) and Locale. Click Add Target.
  • Evidence: customer notes or measurements with metric, unit, source and date range. Click Add Evidence. FoxCue doesn't combine these into an opportunity score. If demand is unknown, it stays unknown.
  • Briefs and Published videos for the topic.

Topics are shared across silos. Linking a topic to another silo keeps its history.

Planning defaults

Silo Actions → Planning defaults sets limits that guide planning: Capacity in Minutes, Maximum Videos, Minimum buyer fit, Minimum solution fit, Research Slots and Maximum Evidence Age in Days. Leave a field blank to inherit the brand's policy.

Frequently asked questions

How do I decide which help docs to turn into videos?

Link your doc pages to a silo, then use Opportunities → Find Video Opportunities. FoxCue suggests ideas from page keywords, customer questions and gaps in your product coverage, and shows the evidence for each idea.

Do silos estimate search volume?

No. Target questions don't imply demand. Measured observations, such as Search Console clicks, are shown only when you have them.
