Track Video Stages and YouTube Links
Follow each planned video in FoxCue from planned to scripting, production, ready to publish and published, and add the YouTube link once it's live.
Every video you choose in a silo moves through production stages as you work: Planned, Scripting, Production, Ready to publish, Published and Archived. When the video is live on YouTube, you add its link in the silo's Published tab.
How stages update
Stages update as you save work:
| You do this | Stage becomes |
|---|---|
| Create a script | Scripting |
| Mark the script ready, or save recorded footage | Production |
| Save a completed video | Ready to publish |
| Add the YouTube link in Published | Published |
To record work done elsewhere, open the video, choose Video Actions → Change Stage, pick a Stage and click Save Stage. You can't mark a video published until it has a YouTube link.
Add a published YouTube link
- Upload the finished video to YouTube yourself. FoxCue doesn't publish to YouTube.
- In the silo, open Published and paste the YouTube watch, Shorts or short link.
- If YouTube is connected, FoxCue checks the video against your channel.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Link Added | You added the link. Connect YouTube to check it automatically. |
| Found on YouTube | Found on your connected channel |
| Not Checked Yet | Connect YouTube to check the video is available |
| Video Unavailable | YouTube no longer returns it. It may be private or removed. |
Videos imported from your channel can also be classified into a silo without a script.
Frequently asked questions
Does rendering a video mark it published?
No. A completed render makes it Ready to publish. Only adding the YouTube link marks it published.
