API Rate Limits, Size Limits and Error Codes
FoxCue API limits: 120 requests per minute per workspace, 512 KiB JSON bodies, 64 MiB uploads, 3 active jobs, plus how errors and 409 conflicts work.
The FoxCue API limits how often you can call it, how big requests can be, and how many jobs can run at once. Errors never include internal details or credentials.
Limits
| Limit | Value |

| Brand images | 2 MiB (PNG, JPEG, WebP) |
| Recording and media uploads | 64 MiB |
| Active jobs | 3 queued or running per workspace |

Errors
| Status | When |
|---|---|
200 / 201 / 204 | Success: read or update / created / deleted |
202 | A job was queued |
400 | Invalid request or invalid JSON. Validation errors list the bad fields with a path and message. |
401 | Missing, invalid, expired or revoked key |
403 | The key lacks the required scope, or the record belongs to another workspace |
409 | Conflict: an Idempotency-Key reused with a different request, or a stale expected_updated_at / expected_revision |
413 | The request body or upload is too large |
429 | Rate limit exceeded. Wait for the Retry-After time (60 seconds) and retry. |
Every error response includes a request_id, which you can quote when reporting a problem.
Failed jobs report a redacted error_code. Check AI provider setup in the app if a job fails with a provider error.
